That's a wrap from round 1 of the John Hughes Nexus Risk Services WA Open Championship.
It's been a great day highlighted by low scores.
We will be teeing off again tomorrow morning at 6.45am.
See you all then!
What a morning of golf! If you're in Perth you really need to get out to Cottesloe Golf Club and check it out!
Victorian Steve Jones fired an impressive 9-under 63 to set a new course record.
While Jones may call it a low light of his round, his par on the 16th was extremely impressive! After hitting his driver two fairways right and taking an unplayable, he hit his second shot to within 8 feet of the pin and one putted for par.
Also impressive today was Daniel Nisbet who has finished outright second on 7-under the card.
Having a more mixed day on course was Oliver Goss, after getting to 2-under he ended up finishing 1-over. However there were still plenty of positives in his round and we are sure he will bounce back tomorrow.
Also at 1-over the card was defending champion Josh Geary. He will also be hoping for a lower round tomorrow.
The afternoon field is now on course.
